fusion2 performed with Dancefusion in the revival of the wonderful holiday show, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas performed at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre December 2017 along with 40 students from GBDC. Choreographed by Artistic Director Gwendolyn Bye and company alumni, Suellen Haag, ’Twas the Night Before Christmas is complete with pirouetting sugar plumes, frolicking mice, prancing reindeer along with a Christmas tree which all come to life for a midnight romp after the residents of the house have “settled down for a long winters nap”. Let’s not forget a visit from that jolly old elf - St. Nick himself! Based on the famous Christmas poem by Clement Moore, the story unfolded in front of imaginative scenery with authentic costumes and colorful holiday decorations that added to the festivities.

Highlights from the prior two years include, fusion2’s Celebration of its 20th anniversary Snap Shots (2016) with a program that included works and alumni dancers spanning its 20 year history along with an expanded HMS collaborative work and in 2017 presented Bridges with HMS bringing people together in dance. The junior company also performed at Philadelphia Youth Dance Festival that same year.
